Setting Preferences

CUE has a Preferences page where you can make small adjustments to CUE's behavior. To display the Preferences page, select the graphics/settings-button.png button from the CUE home page (on the left at the bottom), then select Personal preferences.

On this page you can specify the following options:

Spell checker

Select this option if you want to use the CUE Print spelling checker.

This option is only displayed if your CUE installation includes CUE Print and use of the CUE print spelling checker has been configured as described in Spelling Checker.

Organizational Units

This option lets you choose which organizational unit you want to work in. If you belong to a large organization with many publications, they may well have been divided up into organizational units (the term corresponds to newsroom in many media organizations). The organizational unit you choose governs which publications you see while working in CUE.

Default sections

By default, CUE adds all new content to a publication's New Articles section. You can, however, override this behavior here. You can override it in two ways:

  1. By checking the Default to last used section option. If you do this, then a new content item will be added to whichever section of the publication you last worked in.

  2. By specifying a preferred section for each publication you have access to.

If you check Default to last used section, then this will override any preferred section you have specified explicitly, so if you want to explicitly specify default sections, don't check Default to last used section.
