How does the Newsgate plug-in work?

The Newsgate plug-in is divided into two separate components:

  • A Content Store plug-in

  • A web application containing web services for importing, exporting, previewing stories packaged as zip files. CUE uses the web service when exchanging content with CCI Newsgate.

    The web application also contains web services for retrieving article details, importing taxonomies and URL resolving.

    For the rest of this document this web application is named newsgate-webservice.war
